Client services at headspace Albany

Youth Workers Support young people and link them into both headspace services and other local services in the region. Youth workers can also help link young people in with doctors, health workers, accommodation services, employment and training services, parenting programs and more. There is also the opportunity to have access to a wide range of information about different subjects that impact on young people including mental health, drug and alcohol, sex and sexuality, pregnancy and family planning, and health information.
Counsellors

Psychologists, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists provide mental health support for young people. Transport may be provided to attend counselling sessions. Sexual Health Clinic

In partnership with Great Southern Aboriginal Health Services, headspace Albany offers a free sexual health clinic on Monday afternoons at headspace. It's confidential, and it's free. It easier if you book an appointment to come and see the worker here, but you can also drop in to see them.

● Safe sex
● Contraception
● Women's health & pap smears
● Men's health
● Relationships

A Noongar Health Worker is also available to talk to.


We care about what young people think!! headspace Albany has a group of young people who make decisions about the service and ensure that it is youth friendly, relevant and meets the needs of young people. The headspace Albany Youth Advisory Council (hAC) meets on a reguar basis and advise headspace on the youth friendliness of its service, plan and participate in Community Awarness events and have opportunities to represent headspace Albany in the media. hAC members also have access to training and development opportunities.
